Tintype Session

4x5 Couples Session

A timeless way to capture your connection. This session includes:
• Two 4x5 tintypes of the two of you together
• One individual 4x5 tintype of each person

That’s 4 handcrafted tintypes total, made using the 1850s wet plate collodion process.
Each image is poured, shot, and developed by hand — completely one of a kind and made on metal.

Sessions last about 45–60 minutes, with time built in to review your plates and select your favorites.

Step into the timeless world of wet plate collodion photography with a personalized 60-minute session at Toledo Tintype Studio. You'll receive two 4x5 tintype portraits, hand-crafted on metal using a process from the 1850s, and digital scans.

Best for 1-2 people, but can do up to 4.

*Please note if you’d like more than 2 plates please book additional sessions for each 2 additional plates. *

This intimate session includes:

A guided experience through the tintype process

Posing and preparation for up to two unique plates & digital scans.

Time to review your portraits and select your favorites

Additional tintypes may be added during your session for an extra fee if you'd like to capture more moments or expressions.

Each plate is one of a kind, just like you.
